He was the guy leaning on his putter by the first flag, sunglasses on, always up for one more nine. This outing started as a way to get his friends and family back on the course together โ and it's become something we look forward to every September.
Right now, Bill's bench has a hand-written sign zip-tied to it. Every dollar raised through this event goes toward changing that: a real, permanent plaque at the course, in his name, for good.
Same format Bill loved โ grab three friends, keep the best shot, and don't take it too seriously.
